For most of us, it’s harder than ever to get the results we need.  Performance is critical.   And that makes it more important than ever to pay close attention to morale and productivity.  Because  a dip in one or both, INTERFERES with our efforts, cutting into our POTENTIAL and lowering PERFORMANCE.

So – how can you reduce interference?

If you’ve been keeping a list as we suggested in:   Quote of the Week:  Formula for Performance you’ve already started Step #1.

1.  Identify it. If you’ve identified more than one form of interference, begin by choosing the one that you believe is interfering the most.

2.  Measure its current level. This will most likely need to be done over time.  Keep a log on your desk or work space and record information like:

3.  Determine desired level. What would you like instead?

4.  Problem solve it. Get input from the others who are involved.

5.  Implement solution.

6.  Post reminders (like  Quote of the Week:  Formula for Performance) in prominent places like your computer screen.

7.  Record and monitor progress.    Make it visible, up front and center in your workspace so you can’t forget your commitment to the solution.

8.  Correct, modify or reinforce appropriately.  Don’t expect perfection.   Don’t get frustrated and give up.  Keep an eye on the desired end result.

9.  Repeat # 7 and #8 until desired level (in #3) is achieved.

10.  Add item to ongoing dashboard system to ensure level is maintained.
