These 300 blankets are for the homeless in Orange County.

“Blanket Orange County has become an annual event that is greatly welcomed and appreciated by the Inter-Faith Council and our homeless residents who want to stay warm during the winter months. Hundreds upon hundreds of blankets have been donated by friends of Blanket Orange County over the years that are used by residents at Community House and HomeStart. Volunteers and staff also provide blankets to unsheltered persons who sleep outdoors when shelters are full on cold winter nights. Your gifts of blankets are important and they make a huge difference in the lives of homeless persons.”

- Chris Moran, Executive Director, Inter-Faith Council for Social Service

THANK YOU to Orange County residents and friends for your generosity!

And thanks to these organizations for serving as drop points for blankets:

And to Rosemary Waldorf for making arrangements with the organizations above and for assisting with publicity.

And to UNC Sophomore, Ryan Watts for assisting with deliveries.

And to  The Herald-Sun & WCHL for promoting and covering the effort.
