Quote of the Week: The Way You Talk to Yourself

Many of us complain about the mean, insensitive things our colleagues say to us.   No wonder morale and productivity are in the dumpster, right?    Engagement?  What a joke!    On a serious note, how often do you stop and listen to yourself?

Quote: If a friend talked to you the way you sometimes talk to yourself...

Listen to yourself this week.   Keep a Wordpad or real pad list of the mean, critical, judgmental things you say to yourself.  You may be shocked at how hard you are on you.

What to do if you have a really long list?

Come back during the week for tips on that.

Meanwhile, post  this week’s quote on your computer screen (download instructions below) as a reminder to be a good friend to yourself.  It will be great for you and those around you.

And if you haven’t already done so, sign up for a Monday morning BOOST for you and your teamthe Leadership Quote of the Week delivered to your email box each Monday morning.
