10 reasons for having the same old problem

As mentioned in our Quote of the Week:  Got a problem?, an unresolved problem can do a doozy on morale and productivity.  So – why do we hang onto these problems?  Here are the 10 most common reasons for having the same old problem.

1.  Not enough time.

2.  Not enough money.

3.  Not enough energy.

4.  Not enough help.

5.  Not enough support.

6.  Not enough power.

7.  It won’t work.

8.  Don’t want to hurt anyone.

Actually these sound like excuses instead of reasons, don’t you think?

The most common reasons for having the same problem:

9.  Don’t really want to solve it.

10.  Fear of failure or  success.

When there is a problem that must be resolved in order to achieve the definition of success – whatever it may be – and there is resistance to resolving it – an important question is:

Do you want this definition of success?   Really, really, really, really want it?

If so, it’s time to dump the excuses, feel the fear and do it anyway.

Put the resolution of this problem at the top of your priority list.

Post the Quote of the Week as a reminder to keep it there.
