“Zero Waste” Goal at McDonalds

Just returned from London where I saw this snippet in The London Evening Standard:

“McDonalds has set up a “zero waste” programme at 25 London restaurants so no rubbish is sent to landfill sites.  The fast food giant says any waste that cannot be recycles is taken to an incinerator that converts it into electricity.  The chain hopes to roll out the scheme to all its 160 London restaurants. “

Impressive.
