Jan's workshops and seminars are tailored (in terms of content and timeframe) to meet the needs of the participants.
The focus is on variety, class participation and reinforcement once the workshop is over. These techniques make it easier and more probable that the new material will be implemented in the workplace.
Recent workshops are described below.
Balance
Life is so hectic. There are so many choices.
It is easy to get out of balance.
What is that like? What are the effects - on us, our families, our organizations?
What strategies can we implement that will help us get what we want out of life - AND ENJOY IT?!

Creative Problem Solving
Creativity is the ability to look at the same thing as everyone else but to see something different. This class is about unleashing your creativity for the workplace (the concepts actually work outside the workplace too). What killer phrases block creativity? What are other obstacles to creativity? What can we do to overcome those obstacles? This has been a fun, refreshing and productive class.

Goal Setting
The core of this class is a six-step process that will enable participants to set and accomplish goals at work and at home. The process works for: short-term, one-time goals; long-term goals; project-type goals; for individual goals and for group goals. This is not a miracle cure. It is a process that works if the implementer is committed to the goal and to the process.

Leadership/Management Sessions
Are you in a leadership or managerial position? Do you know where you are going? If not - you had better decide. Otherwise why would people want to follow you?

During previous management/leadership workshops, participants:
• Identified the qualities they admire in leaders
• Took a close look at 12 qualities identified by the facilitator
• Evaluated themselves on each quality
• Had the opportunity to get feedback from their followers
• Developed strategies for improving in the areas desired

Sales
From 10-minute quickie workshops to 4-day intensive programs, the approach is still the same. Learn the client's needs and concerns first. I use a 7 step process and haven't found a product or service yet that doesn't sell better with this approach.

Time Management
Each of us has 168 hours in one week. It is up to each of us to determine how to use those 168 hours. In this class, we take time out to explore the things we want to do and the things we need to do…. at home and at work. We determine priorities; discover the power of planning; identify time wasters and savers; formulate an action plan to help us MAXIMIZE time.
