If you’ve been holding off because you aren’t sure social media is a productive use of resources….

DENVER – Social media consultancy firm Buzzmgr kicked off a two-day tsunami and earthquake drill Friday (9/24). The drill, dubbed Exercise 24 or X 24 is the first drill to ever take place online. The exercise will test to see how fast news of a disaster can spread.

When disaster strikes, social media has become the fastest way to spread information across the globe. During the Four Mile Fire in Boulder, social media was a useful tool.
