Monday Matinée – The Babe & Baby Ruths

baseball playerIf your team is discouraged from a number of setbacks as many teams are these days, we encourage you to put this week’s morale and productivity tools to work, starting with the Quote of the Week.    Pass it around.   Use it as a screensaver.  Post it on the bulletin board to encourage your team to keep swinging.

While they most likely know about baseball,  some of your team members may not know much about Babe Ruth.  So instead of waiting to share this as our  Movie of the Week on Friday,  we decided to bring you a Monday Matinée to help everybody get in the swing of things.  And it’s a double feature!  The first is a newsreel from 1947.   The second is the trailer from The Babe which gives a glimpse of the boy and the man on and off the field – the good and the bad.    Both are just over 2 minutes long.

Get the popcorn and gather everyone around.     Before you do that though,   grab a bag of mini (or not so mini) Baby Ruth  bars.  When the movie is over, give each of the viewers a candy bar with the instruction to “keep swinging”!

Hope you enjoyed today’s double feature!

baby ruthNow – go enjoy that Baby Ruth and remember to keep on swinging, hit ’em where they ain’t and swing for the fences!
