Quote of the Week for the Last Week of 2011

What will you do with the final week of 2011?

Many will use it as a final five day push to make miscellaneous goals and deadlines.

Some will beat themselves up or criticize others for things that didn’t go well.

Some may convert these negatives into an opportunity…creating new goals and resolutions that are aligned with their vision for a better future.

Take the gripes seriously.

Take notes.

And promise to follow up on the gripes.

December 21 is also National Look on the Bright Side.

Yes…same day, same meeting.

After all the griping…ask everyone to “look on the bright side” of the situation.

Make sure they understand this is not to diminish the concerns mentioned earlier, but to involve them in a potential problem-solving process that can be looked at in more depth if necessary after the holiday.
