Monitor & Move Forward
Lack of movement is a good thing for a manager to monitor. It can mean all sorts of things. Maybe time is being taken for a much needed rest or reflection. That’s usually good for morale and productivity.

We heard from a government worker who has set up a huge screen every year for the past 25 years.
We know about Mary who brings in a pot of chili on the first day of the tournament every year.
In both situations, sounds like both workers and boss are happy about the way the madness is managed. Good balance of business and basketball. No need for a “boss button”. No damage to productivity or morale. In fact, maybe a boost to both – short and long term.
